MISSION 1 -Adventure into the amazon

The team lands in Rio, launching into a grueling 500-mile bike ride that tests their endurance from the start. The rocky terrain and searing tropical heat are relentless, while roadside camps bring nights plagued by mosquitoes and visits from stray dogs, compounding their exhaustion.

Arriving in Rio’s favelas, Jake and Dan dive into charity work, navigating gang tensions and constant gunfire. Each day demands resilience as they balance a deep desire to help with the ever-present danger surrounding them. They will be completing extensive charity work with the local boxing gym and communities.

Next, they head to the Amazon jungle where they will be camping for the next fourteen days. Jake and Dan will be paddling 150 miles upriver by canoe, they battle strong currents, storms, and an array of wild creatures—jaguars watching from the riverbank, and piranhas lurking just below. When their canoe journey ends, they embark on a brutal fourteen-day jungle trek. Every step is a risk, with venomous snakes, treacherous river crossings, and unseen dangers in the dense canopy above. Nights are restless, filled with the threat of predators in the shadows.
Finally, they escape the treacherous Amazon Jungle by boat for a 5-day trip to Colombia. Cramped quarters, rough waters, and the looming threat of pirates turn each mile into a fight for survival. By journey’s end, they are battered but bonded, having endured a punishing test of endurance, courage, and the strength of the human spirit, Dan calls this the warm up.
